Meet Daniel

A Catholic, husband, and soon-to-be father.

It was during the summer before my senior year of college that I realized I wanted to do something a little different. I was studying Industrial Engineering with a track focus in Economics and Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and had just started my first internship, but I wanted more…

From being the president of the school’s Club Tennis team, to traveling around the US to poker rooms I was old enough to play in, to growing up collecting soda cans and running lemonade stands in my driveway, I’d always been one to take initiative, admittedly oftentimes making myself look funny. So naturally, I decided I was going to start a business, but I just didn’t know what.

After graduation, I explored different ventures, trying to find my groove, and eventually I circled back to something I'd always been good at but had yet to fully appreciate: working with numbers. I'd studied finance in college and run poker/sports statistics around the clock, but it didn't seem like something I could make a career out of. I wasn't interested in taking risks with my finances that wasn't me betting on myself.

Today, after following my usual all-or-nothing approach, moving across the country with no clients, investing heavily in training, and seeking out mentorship from industry leaders, things look a bit different. It was a risk, and I wasn't entirely sure how things would turn out, but I knew that if I just kept pushing forward, God would provide.

And that theory, with many bumps in the road, has turned out to be exactly correct. What started with me working out of my parents' guest room remotely has evolved into me running my own practice, serving, currently, a few dozen clients, and building valuable partnerships in those areas where I'm not the expert.

The journey has been challenging, but also an incredible opportunity to grow. There has been no better feeling than the heartfelt conversations, messages, and phone calls I’ve received from clients thanking me for my impact on their lives, especially my father's.

Outside of work and aside from spending time with my wife (usually going on walks), I enjoy reading books or consuming content on religion/theology, politics (I know, everything I’m not supposed to talk about!), business, and more. Contrary to my wife’s Disney movie preferences, I always enjoy a good war movie. Without a doubt, though, our favorite activity is talking over dinner with friends.
